No shame. Period.’s VP Kerri Boyd met with the nurses from Virginia Beach City Public Schools to provide an overview of the nonprofit and our mission and distribute 500 period packs for the new school year!

No shame. Period. teams up with St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church in Williamsburg for the second year in a row! This time they make 370 period packs (which is a 53% increase from the previous year!!)

No shame. Period. joins The Village Initiative at the Juneteenth celebration in Williamsburg and ends our first 50-50 Raffle fundraiser with a live drawing and a winning prize of over $1000 thanks to our generous supporters!
The best news is the winner wants to donate half of her winnings back to the nonprofit!!!

No shame. Period. had it’s first collaboration with a local business! On World Kindness Day we partnered with Perfectly Natural Soap to raise awareness of our mission and help supply period packs for our Isle of Wight/ Smithfield students!

We get the “all clear” from No shame in KC, a period poverty nonprofit in Missouri, to use our name No shame. Period. so we reserve it in the SCC database for when we are a nonprofit!

No shame. Period. is one of twenty potential nonprofits attending a S.C.O.R.E. workshop at the Williamsburg Regional Library - the Q&A is fantastic but the amount of paperwork seems overwhelming - but we are excited to be taking the next step soon!

Portsmouth public schools invites us to be an official partner! We work directly with their family engagement coordinator to get packs to the nurses at the beginning of the school year.

No shame. Period. has our first church volunteers make period packs at St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church in Williamsburg! They make 241 period packs and donate additional supplies as well!

To celebrate Women’s History Month, No shame. Period. makes our own history as we have our first period pack party with OVM Financial in Virginia Beach & Mercy Drops and make over 200 period packs!!!

No shame. Period. delivers our first round of period packs on the peninsula in Hampton Roads! Over 300 period packs go to local elementary and middle school nurses in Hampton, Newport News, Poquoson, York, and WJCC school divisions!

No shame. Period. partners with the local 501(c)(3) Endo Army to design a normal vs. not normal menstruation pamphlet for our school nurses to keep in their office and share with students who haven’t had family life classes yet or need supplemental information. Endo Army covers the cost of these pamphlets for every elementary and middle school on the peninsula!

Ipsy was the first company to directly donate, providing 400 makeup bags to aid in our original goal of making sure the peninsula elementary and middle schools had period packs. By the end of the month we had our first 50 period packs completed and the No shame. Period. Facebook page was set up to support the growing community project!
